How Photo Day Works
As it is your photo day we want to do it your way so we do offer you three choices.
1) Pre Pay Basis:
Pre paid envelopes are handed out by coaches to players or parents, those who are interested in having their picture taken write their order on the prepay envelope and enclose payment. This envelope is handed in at the time the picture is taken. The envelopes are returned to the club after fulfillment for distribution of the photographs.
Advantages
- NO FEES
- Most cost efficient
Disadvantages
- Only those who prepay are photographed
- We choose the images you receive, there are no choice of poses
- Double work for the organisation – handing out envelops and photographs
2) Speculative Preprint:
Every participant is photographed on photo day. We then individually pack each members photo and mail them all to the organisation on a ‘sale or return basis’. The organisation is responsible for returning all unwanted photographs together with money owed.
Advantages
- NO FEES
- Everybody is photographed on photo day
- No obligation - view your photograph and then choose if you want to buy
- Fund raising opportunities for organisation still good
- Shoot can go faster because no monies changing hand on photo day
Disadvantages
- Organisation responsible for return of photographs and monies owed
- We choose the images you receive, there are no choice of poses
3) Speculative Digital:
Every participant is photographed on photo day. We will have sample photographs and products on display and be giving out fliers, stickers and business cards. We will also encourage those in attendance to provide us with their email address. If your organisation has a web presence we will request a link to our site. We can even incorporate an ecommerce shop onto your web site where you can sell not only our images but also your own organisations merchandise ! All those wishing to view and purchase their image(s) can do so on our password protected web site.
Advantages
- NO FEES
- Everybody is photographed on photo day usually several poses (buddy shots and staged action all possible)
- No obligation - view your images online and then choose if you want to buy
- Greater customer satisfaction, customers get the choice of multiple images to view and order in the comfort of their own home.
- Fund raising opportunities excellent for those organisations with a good web presence (average sales tend to be higher as more products and several poses on offer)
- Shoot not interrupted by envelopes or money exchange
- Hassle free for the organisation – you have enough work as it is
Disadvantages
- Web presence of organisation needed. (web page and email listings of members)*
- Postage and packaging charged to individuals (can be overcome by putting a time limit on orders and mailing all orders to organisation for distribution at expiration of time limit).
* Those without email can still order, there is a “snail mail” option for those who would like their proof images mailed to them by more traditional methods.
For All Three Photo Day Options:
- All photo shoots are FREE of charge
- It is important that each member of the organisation is dressed in their appropriate uniform or strip
- All members are punctual for their allotted photo time slot
- We are flexible on our pricing. Rebates to the organisation can be as a percentage of total sales or a fixed amount per package sold.
Testimonials
I would recommend Martyn Warwick to anyone serious about receiving quality photography. Martyn was our vendor for our club photos every year and the quality and professionalism was first class. I would not hesitate in having Martyn back with us if he ever returned to California.

New Cyclo-Sportive Client
The Cumberland Challenge is in its third year now and continues to grow from strength to strength. The 105 mile cyclo- sportive event takes in some of the countries finest scenery as it winds around the North Pennines, climbs up Hartside, skirts alongside Hadrian's Wall and even offers a brief incursion into Scotland before heading back to the starting town of Brampton. It is a challenging ride with 2900m of climbing and MW Photography will be there to document both the pain and glory. All the images will be posted online where riders will be able to search for their specific image by entering their surname or race number in the keyword search. We hope that this is the first of many cycling and running events we photograph in Europe and that this is the first of many years of helping the Cumberland Challenge and their worthwhile charities.
